Two men get fined N1 Million for blocking Govrnor Bello's entourage in Abuja

Two men, Ahmed Abdullahi, and Nura Musa were  arraigned in a Wuse Zone 2 Magistrates’ Court sitting in Abuja, for allegedly blocking the convoy of Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello.

Abdullahi, 37, and Musa, 23, both of Asokoro, Abuja, are facing a 1-count charge of public nuisance.

The prosecutor, Adeniyi Oyeyemi, told the court that the defendants committed the offence on February 24 at Wuse Zone 4, Abuja.

Oyeyemi said the defendants unlawfully parked their car and blocked the road and sat unconcerned until the security of the governor came down to arrest them.

He said during a search of their vehicle, a bottle of codeine was found.

The offence, according to the police, contravened Section 183 of the Penal Code.

The defendants, however, pleaded not guilty.

The Magistrate, Emenisi Ebiwari, granted them bail in the sum of N500, 000 each and a surety in like sum.

Ebiwari adjourned the case until March 15 for further hearing.

Ryan Seacrest reacts to sexual misconduct allegations against him

The stylist of American Idol host, Ryan Seacrest, has come out with allegations of sexual misconduct against him. The stylist, Suzie Hardy, has been styling the E! presenter since 2007.
In a revealing and graphic interview with Variety, Hardy claims that she was a single mother when she began to work for Seacrest and that he used to slap her buttocks, grope her vagina and push his private part against her through his underwear.
Hardy admittedly endured the alleged harassment because of her child but lost her job after she reported Seacrest to the human resources personnel at E! in 2013.
E! claims to have carried out an internal investigation concerning Hardy’s complaints but found “insufficient evidence to support the claims against Seacrest.”
Seacrest has spoken out against the allegations through his lawyers in an official statement claiming that Hardy had requested that Seacrest give her $15 million to stop her from coming out with the ‘false claims’.
Here is his statement after the cut......
‘It is upsetting to us that Variety is electing to run a ‘story’ about untrue allegations that were made against my client after they were told that the accuser threatened to make those false claims against him unless he paid her $15 million. At that time, the claimant threatened to issue a demonstrably false press statement unless she was paid. Instead, my client proactively and publicly denied the claims and agreed to fully cooperate with E!’s investigation about the matter.
On January 31st the network notified us that their independent third-party investigation had concluded that there was insufficient evidence to support her claims, effectively, clearing my client’s name. It’s telling that after my client refused to pay her money, and the E! investigation resulted as it did, that she is now coming forward to share her debunked story to the press.’

Nigeria Air Force deploys 100 jets in search of the abducted 110 dapchi school girls

The Air Force has deployed 100 fighter jets in the search for the 110 schoolgirls abducted on February 19, the Federal Government said yesterday.

The students of the Government Girls Science and Technical College (GGSTC), Dapchi, Yobe State were abducted from their hostels by terrorists.

Twenty of the jets have flown 200 hours as at Monday evening, according to a fact sheet on the search released by Minister of Information, Culture and National Orientation Lai Mohammed.

Chief of Air Staff Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar relocated yesterday to Yobe State “to personally superintend the search for the girls”, the minister said.

He also released the details of the missing girls. Eight are in JSS1, 17 in JSS2, 12 in JSS3, 40 in SS1, 19 in SS2 and 14 in SS3. The girls’ ages range from 11 to 19 years.

“The list, which also contains the contact address and phone number of each missing girl, was verified by a 26-member Screening Committee that include the Executive Secretary, State Teaching Service Board, Musa Abdulsalam; Director, Schools’ Management, Ministry of Education, Shuaibu Bulama; Principal of GGSTC, Adama Abdulkarim; the two Vice Principals, Ali Musa Mabu and Abdullahi Sule Lampo; Admission Officer Bashir Ali Yerima, and the Form Masters for all the classes,” Mohammed said.

National Security Adviser (NSA) Babagana Monguno, who constituted a 12-member committee “to unravel the circumstances surrounding the abduction”, gave the committee March 15 deadline to submit a report.

Gen. Munguno, who visited Governor Ibrahim Gaidam in Damaturu, the Yobe State capital, yesterday announced that 80 other planes would join the search for the girls.

He told the governor: “The Nigerian Air Force has deployed 20 aircraft in Maiduguri and 80 others on their way. So far, 200 hours have been utilised in flying sorties looking for these girls.

“We have also been made aware of the fact that the Nigerian Air Force will step up its operation regardless of the very hard and severe weather condition.”

2019 things! FG plans to increase minimum wage in September

The increment will take place before the end of September, says the Minister of Labour and Employment Senator Chris Ngige .
The minister spoke just as the President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) Ayuba Wabba warned against attempt by individuals and group to frustrate the ongoing negotiation for a new national minimum wage.

Such action, Wabba said, would not augur well for industrial harmony.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the NLC’s 40th anniversary celebration in Abuja, Ngige said while the new national minimum wage negotiation may be concluded before the third quarter, the committee put in place by the President has set a timeline of the third quarter to conclude its work and make available to Nigerians a new minimum wage.

The minister’s announcement was greeted by a loud chant of “no, no no” from the workers, who felt that the new minimum wage was taking too long to be achieved.

Ngige said in line with the ILO Conventions 144 on tripartite consultation, the government would put in place the Nigeria Labour Advisory Council before the end of the second quarters.

Parents in the US are worried about their children's use of smartphones

Chart of the day

In a recent study by Common Sense Media, nearly half of the adults surveyed said that their children exhibited addictive behavior in their use of a smartphone.
As more and more studies emerge about the use of smartphones and social media in our daily lives, many parents are worried. Can smartphones have an adverse effect on young children?
In a recent study by nonprofit Common Sense Media, nearly half of the adults surveyed said that their children exhibited addictive behavior in their use of a smartphone. But parents were split over whether new technologies are actually harming the mental-health of children.
As this chart by Statista shows, 50% of the parents surveyed were worried about their child's smartphone use and its effect on their mental health. But parents were far more in agreement when it came to determining whose responsibility it is to curb a child's cellphone use: 89% said that it was up to parents to decide when their kids have spent enough time on a device.

I used part of MIMASA funds to build a hotels says Calistus Obi

A former acting Director General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, Calistus Obi, who is being tried for an alleged fraud of N136m, told the court on Monday that part of the money was channelled into the building of his hotel in Delta State.

He, however, said he had since refunded the sum after being held by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.

Obi said this before the Federal High Court in Lagos, where he is standing trial alongside Alu Dismas, who was a personal assistant to his (Obi’s) predecessor, Patrick Akpobolokemi.

The other defendants in the charge are two firms – Grand Pact Limited and Global Sea Investment.

Obi, who is the first defendant, was fielding questions from the EFCC prosecutor, Rotimi Oyedepo, on Monday.

Answering questions as to what became of the N136m, Obi said, “I used part of the money to build my hotel constructed by Seastroke International. But the money has since been refunded to the EFCC.

“The hotel is located somewhere in Asaba, Delta State. I can’t recollect the address now. The building is completed and is already functioning. The title documents of the hotel is being processed but I have the Certificate of Occupancy and I can produce it before the court.”

His lawyer, Wale Akoni (SAN), however, raised an objection to the prosecutor’s enquiry about the title documents of the hotel, which he contended was not a subject before the court.

Akoni said, “My Lord, I am opposed to this line of questioning by the prosecution’s lawyer. The ownership of the hotel is not an issue in these proceedings. The prosecution is only trying to device a means of seizing the title documents through the back door.”

In his response, the EFCC lawyer, Oyedepo, urged the court to allow him to continue with his enquiry about the hotel, saying the witness had already admitted deploying part of the allegedly diverted money to building it.

“The witness has admitted that part of the funds allegedly diverted by him was used in building the hotel that is now functioning. At the end of this case, the law, as it stands today, empowers My Lord to forfeit property acquired with proceeds of unlawful activity.

“Section 30 of the EFCC Act empowers the court to forfeit proceeds of unlawful activity. I urge the court to allow us ask questions that will lead to the recovery of the title documents so that it can form part of the court’s record,” Oyedepo said.

In a bench ruling, Justice Mojisola Olatoregun dismissed Akoni’s objections, holding that “the questions asked on the title documents are in order and the issue of the EFCC trying to forcefully seize it does not arise.”

Karla Souza ''How to get away with Murder'' star reveals she was raped by a movie director

The 31-year-old who made this shocking revelation during a CNN en Español interview she said, “He knocked at my door saying he wanted to go over some scenes and I thought it’s 2 a.m., it’s not appropriate and it’s something that shouldn’t be happening,”
According to her, she refused to open the door when he knocked again and the next day, he decided not to shoot her scene and began to humiliate her in front of others on the set. After this ‘total abuse of power’ continued for about a month, she gave in to his advances feeling she had no choice.
“[I let him] kiss me, to touch me in ways I did not want him to touch me,” she said, “and in one of those instances, he attacked me violently and yes, he raped me.”
Karla didn’t reveal who the director is.

The FBI reportedly got a tip about the Florida Shooter saying he is going to explode

Nikolas Cruz appearing in court in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

The person who called the FBI's tip line in January to warn about Nikolas Cruz, the suspect in the shooting at a Florida high school, apparently told the bureau that he was "going to explode" and "get into a school and just shoot the place up."
According to a transcript reviewed by The Wall Street Journal, the caller was worried about Cruz and said she made the call because she wanted a "clear conscience."
Authorities say Cruz used an AR-15 rifle to open fire on students and staff at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, last week. They've charged him with 17 counts of premeditated murder.
Just days after the shooting, the FBI acknowledged that it failed to follow protocol in forwarding the tip to the agency's Miami field office for further investigation.
In the call, the woman said she believed Cruz had the mental capacity of a 12- or 14-year-old and had made a series of disturbing Instagram posts about wanting to kill himself, The Journal reported.
"Something is gonna happen," she said. "Because he's he doesn't have the mental capacity. He can't  he's so outraged if someone talks to him about certain things."
She also said during the call that she told local police about Cruz's behavior but was unsure about the status of that investigation, the Journal report says.
The caller said it was "alarming" to see his Instagram photos and "know what he's capable of doing," The Journal reported.
"He's [been] thrown out of all these schools because he would pick up a chair and just throw it at somebody, a teacher or a student, because he didn't like the way they were talking to him," she said.

Facebook offers to assist the FG and INEC with preparation for 2019 elections

Facebook has offered to explore avenues with the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, that could help expand voter education and engage citizens meaningfully to achieve peaceful general elections in 2019.

The social networking giant made this offer having noticed that topics Nigerians mostly shared on its platform bordered on elections and politics

According to INEC, this offer was made when a team from Facebook led by its Public Policy Director for Africa, Ebele Okobi, paid a courtesy visit to the INEC Chairman, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, at the agency’s headquarters in Abuja on Wednesday.

Facebook, which noted that it has a membership base of 2.1 billion worldwide and 80 million from Nigeria, discovered that, “people care very deeply about how they are governed, about who governs them and other political issues. Knowing that people come to the platform to talk about what they care
about, we have developed a politics and government programme essentially to understand how our platform is being used, not just during elections, but also to help governments engage with their citizens and also to see what the risks related to our platform in elections are and what opportunities and programmes can be put in place to address the risks. ”

Okobi disclosed that the company was open to ideas on how best it could improve its services and the electoral processes in Africa, particularly in Nigeria.

Responding, the INEC boss, Yakubu told the team that organising and conducting elections was a huge responsibility for the commission and comes with enormous risks.

“A good election, I have always said, is a recipe for peace and a poorly conducted election could lead to violence and civil war. And part of it is the perception some people create on the social media,” he said.

He acknowledged the large following the electoral body enjoys on Facebook, which he said is the largest among election management bodies in Africa, and underscored its potentials for engaging citizens, disseminating information and dispelling fake news for peaceful elections.

While acknowledging that Facebook has become one of the veritable means of interacting with the public, Yakubu said, “I think more people now get their news from the social media than the traditional media”.

The INEC chairman thanked Facebook for pulling down fake pages of the commission from its platform just as it commended, “the social media giant” for also putting mechanisms for checking hate speech and fake news in place.

He said the commission looked forward to working with Facebook in ensuring that the voting population gets the best to help them make informed choices at the polls.

David Beckham steps into a glass box with 10,000 mosquitoes for all the right reasons

The legendary soccer star posted a video on Instagram calling for the end of malaria

Former Men's Health cover guy David Beckham may be retired, but that certainly doesn't mean he isn't keeping busy.
The soccer icon is spearheading a campaign against malaria, recently posting a video on Instagram highlighting the dangers of the disease. The powerful clip features Beckham standing in a glass box, surrounded by thousands of mosquitoes.
Beckham is leading the "Malaria Must Die  So Millions Can Live" campaign, which is a call to ultimately end the disease that, according to the CDC, killed 445,000 people in 2016.
"Today, a mosquito bite still takes a child's life every two minutes," Beckham says in the video. "We can be the generation that ends it for good."
Malaria is a disease spread by mosquitoes that causes fever, chills, nausea and vomiting. In places like the Untied States and United Kingdom, malaria is rare and, if contracted, easily treatable. If left untreated, however, the disease can be fatal.
The "Malaria Must Die" campaign's mission is to urge leaders of the Commonwealth of Nations  a collective of 52 nations, many of which are former British colonies to make the full eradication of malaria a priority. Many of the countries in the Commonwealth are in Africa, where the disease is still rampant.
"It's the 21st century and people are still dying from the world's oldest and deadliest disease," the campaign's website says. "The world knows what needs to be done and we have a choice: Let malaria go on killing almost half a million people a year or we can take action to end malaria for good."

CNN Corespondent Isha Sesay takes a swipe at President Buhari

CNN correspondent, Isha Sesay has taken a swipe at president Buhari calls kidnap of taken 105 girls in Dapchi is a national disaster.
The cable TV anchor said the kidnap is not a national disaster but a national disgrace.
Sesay made this known in some of her tweets on Saturday, February 24, 2018 while lending her voice to the release of the girls kidnapped in Dapchi area of Yobe state on Monday, February 19, 2018.

"Nigeria's President Buhari calls abduction of DapchiGirls "a national disaster." That's an understatement - it's a national disgrace. More girls taken - again?? Yobe ChibokGirls," Sesay had tweeted.

Sesay further tweeted: "I want to live in a world where the lives of the DapchiGirls are held to be just as important as those of kids in other places. A world where everyone is talking about schoolgirls being stolen by terrorists. Is that too much to as."
And when a follower tried convincing her, she insisted that the word disgrace captures blame and responsibility by the Nigerian government.
"Nope! "National disaster" doesn't cut it. I'm taking "national disgrace" which implies blame and responsibility," she tweeted.
On Monday, February 19, 2018, the men of the Boko Haram sect invaded a part of Yobe State including the Government Girls Secondary School in Dapchi kidnapping several students and reigning terror on the school and the village.
According to a forum of parents of missing students, the number of girls in captivity have been given as 105.

Donald Trump suggest arming teachers to defend pupils due to deadly shootings in schools

President Donald Trump suggested  that arming teachers and school staff members could provide security against events like the shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School , in which 17 students and school workers were killed.

"If you had a teacher who was adept with the firearm, they could end the attack very quickly," Trump said at the White House, during a meeting with students and parents from the school.
"This would be obviously only for people who were very adept at handling a gun," Trump added. "It's called concealed carry, where a teacher would have a concealed gun on them. They'd go for special training and they would be there and you would no longer have a gun-free zone."
Trump clarified his comments , stressing that he said "to look at the possibility of" arming teachers with military backgrounds or special training  "only the best."
"Highly trained teachers would also serve as a deterrent to the cowards that do this," he added. "Far more assets at much less cost than guards."
Despite Trump's stipulations, the idea of arming teachers and other school staff was widely panned especially by veterans with experience using high-powered weapons and firing under duress.
"Shooting under stress is extremely difficult. Even for the most well-trained shooters," Jay Kirell, an Afghanistan veteran who has written about difficulties veterans face in civilian life, tweeted. "A teacher is not going to be able to do this. Cops & soldiers literally get paid to do this & most of them can't shoot accurately under stress."
"Not because they suck, but because it's nearly impossible to hit a target in one shot when pumped full of adrenaline," Kirell added. "And if you're in a school with a shooter and dozens of children, if you're not shooting accurately you're just creating crossfire."
Data compiled by the New York City Police Department underscores the difficulty of firing accurately in challenging situations.
In 2005, NYPD officers intentionally fired their guns at someone 472 times, hitting their mark 82 times. In 2006, New York police fired under the same circumstances 364 times, hitting their target 103 times. That same year, Los Angeles police fired 67 times, recording 27 hits.
Other veterans responded directly to Trump, dismissing the idea of arming teachers as inappropriate and dangerous.

Folorunsho Alakija reveals how she became a Billionaire without a degree

In an autobiography she posted on her Instagram handle, Mrs. Alakija who revealed that she was the 8th child out of a family of 52 children, said she had faced challenges and setbacks in life but became great as a result of her love for God

She wrote: “I would like to encourage you on my encounter with the glory of God.

“It happened almost 27 years ago when I gave my life to Christ at the age of 40 and my life has not been the same ever since, I pray your life too, will experience a total turn around.

“I was born almost 67 years ago, into a large and illustrious polygamous Muslim family as number 8 out of 52 children through a father who had 8 wives.

“Back then, large families were common, but what was unusual was that I was one of the very first few Nigerian children who left its shores to go and study abroad at such a tender age of 7.

“Even at that age, I knew I could not afford to let my family down cause I was seen as an ambassador.

“My desire was to study law but my daddy did not believe in investing in girls at that time.

“Today, I have no university degree, but God’s glory lifted me up and I have received numerous Honorary doctorate degrees at home and abroad.

“All of what you now see today has taken almost two and a half decades, so I am not an overnight success. On the contrary, through God’s grace, I am a blood bought totally forgiven, absolutely redeemed, heaven bound child of God.

“I have had to make sacrifices like everyone else, faced challenges but never given up.

“I have not compromised myself, my values or my faith.”

Drop Box CEO Drew Houston made a whopping $110 Miilion in 2017

drew houston dropbox

CEO, Drew Houston, is due to make a whole lot of money.
On Friday, the well-known cloud storage company filed the paperwork for its long-awaited IPO. The S-1 revealed that CEO and cofounder Drew Houston made about $110 million in cash and stock in 2017.
The breakdown: Houston made $400,000 in base salary, plus a $260,000 cash bonus. But the bulk of his salary came in the form of a restricted stock grant.
Dropbox valued that grant 15.5 million shares, all in all  at $109.6 million, figuring each share was worth about $7.07. It will vest over the next four to 10 years, depending on the company's stock hitting certain price targets under Houston's stewardship.
He could begin reaping some of the rewards from the grant as early as next year. After January 1  and the lock-up period passes on insider selling some 3.1 million of Houston's shares will vest if Dropbox's shares hit $20. Just that batch would be worth $62 million at that price.
If Dropbox's stock hits the highest price target specified in the grant  $60 a share and Houston holds on to all of the shares he was granted as a part of it, the actual value of the stock granted to him by the company as part of this plan would be $930 million.
In addition to the restricted stock grant, Houston also owns 127 million shares of Dropbox's Class B stock, which offers greater voting power than the Class A shares it plans to sell to the public. The company valued those shares at $7.01 a piece at the end of 2017, per the filing. That's worth about $891 million on its own, at that price.

I will run for president in 2019 reveals leadership coach Fela Durotoye

The 46-year-old declared his intentions this week, adding that he has researched all the national parties for a few months and has settled for the Alliance for New Nigeria (ANN).

“In line with our Values one of which is to ‘be a role model worthy of emulation’, I had to decide to get involved in the political arena rather than staying on the sidelines and only challenging others to go in,” he said.

“It is my hope that as I step unto the political scene, many more of our brightest and best will arise to heed our nation’s clarion call to contest for elective offices, win the elections, and most importantly collectively deliver good governance to our nation.

He said the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) cannot deliver a new Nigeria.

“Therefore, to be clear, I am aspiring to contest as a Presidential Candidate in the 2019 General Elections. A lot of people have asked me ‘FD, what party will you be running on? Is it APC or PDP?’

“Whilst it is true that these parties may have formidable grassroots structures, I strongly doubt that these old parties with their old ideology (of God-Fatherism also known as Selectocracy, Rulership, Money Politricks etc) would be able to deliver to us a New Nigeria.
“And so, over the last few months, I have researched into several political parties to determine if their ideologies, vision and values resonate with those we share together on this Network.

“I am glad to announce that one party has resonated more with me than any other; sharing common ideology, principles, and a truly democratic internal process, that is open for all to aspire.

“The party that provides a level playing field for the best candidate to emerge at all levels of legislature and executive office. That party, ladies and gentlemen is the alliance for new Nigeria.

Did reality Tv star Kylie Jenner just kill Snapchat with just a tweet?

null

Kylie Jenner, a member of the Kardashian-Jenner family, tweeted to her 24.5 million followers: "sooo does anyone else not open Snapchat anymore? Or is it just me... ugh this is so sad"
"still love you tho snap ... my first love," she followed up in a second tweet
Kylie Jenner is one of the most important people on social media and one of the original "influencers." She has 104 million followers on Instagram.
She's used Snapchat in the past to show off a new haircut, or give a peek into her family life with boyfriend Travis Scott. She's a power user, posting frequently to millions of people, and if she's seeing less engagement on the platform, that's a bad sign for Snap, Snapchat's parent company.
She's also been professionally connected with the company, as well. Last year, she partnered with Snap to broadcast exclusive video on Snapchat in a format called "Ask Kylie."
Snapchat has historically had problems retaining "influencers," who have generally felt more supported by other platforms, like Instagram, which run special programs for people with lots of followers, and provide more data about their posts and followers.

Donald Trump mourns evangelist Billy Graham says ''There was nobody like him''.

U.S. President Donald Trump is mourning Billy Graham as “a very special man,” after the famed preacher’s death at 99.

“The GREAT Billy Graham is dead. There was nobody like him! He will be missed by Christians and all religions,” Trump tweeted.

Vice President Mike Pence offered condolences to the Graham family, saying that the evangelist’s “matchless voice changed the lives of millions.”

“We mourn his passing but I know with absolute certainty that today he heard those words, ‘well done, good and faithful servant,’” Pence tweeted.

Graham was nicknamed “God’s machine gun,” and he did not find it offensive at all.

On the contrary, the U.S. televangelist with a rapid-fire delivery and booming voice always wanted to be considered a fighter, a soul-catcher.

With his so-called “crusades” alone, the former Baptist pastor reached a worldwide audience of 215 million people in person, and countless found their faith through him.

In spite of his conservative positions on morals, he was considered for decades the “pope” of US protestants and was by far the leading mass evangelist of the 20th century.

His “matchless voice changed the lives of millions,” U.S. Vice President Mike Pence said in remembrance.

When he bid farewell to his supporters in 2005, in a three-day mass show in New York with a cumulative audience of over 230,000 people, he said he was happy to be seeing God’s face soon.

Graham’s impact rests on a simple message delivered to the public for six decades: “Jesus loves you. Let him into your life and your sins will be forgiven.”

People are furious with Anna Wintour for not taking off her glasses when she sat next to the Queen

Queen Elizabeth II sat next to Conde Nast's Anna Wintour at London Fashion Week on Tuesday.

The Queen of England made her first visit to London Fashion Week Tuesday afternoon, where she sat in the front row at designer Richard Quinn's runway show, next to Conde Nast's artistic director, Anna Wintour.
Wintour famously always wears her sunglasses to runway shows, and Tuesday was no exception.
This has sent the internet into a frenzy as people claim this showed a total lack of respect for the Queen.
"Anna Wintour looking ridiculous as usual sunglasses indoors?! At least the Queen knows how to dress properly for any occasion," one commenter wrote on Twitter.
But according to Wintour, these glasses serve a purpose.
"They are seriously useful. I can sit in a show and if I am bored out of my mind, nobody will notice … At this point, they have become, really, armor," she said in an interview on 60 Minutes in 2009, as was reported by The Cut.

Guess what happened when a millionaire pretended to be broke and homeless

A popular YouTube star brought new meaning to the saying 'don't judge a book by its cover' with a shocking social media experiment that saw him dressing like a homeless person in order to see if staff at a restaurant would treat him any differently.

In an attempt to prove that appearances can always be deceiving, New York-based Coby Persin tested staff at a Florida eatery to see how they would react to someone based purely on what they looked like, before stunning them with the revelation that they were in fact dealing with a millionaire.

In a three-minute video, the 23-year-old can be seen approaching a restaurant while dressed in an assortment of scruffy clothing and carrying a large garbage bag, before asking to be seated by a staff member who is standing at the entrance.

Wasting no time, Coby approaches the man, who appears to be acting as a host, to ask for a table for himself and his friend Ronaldo.

Ensuring that he remains polite and courteous throughout their conversation, he also asks whether it would be possible to see a menu.

'Hi how are you? I would like to get a table for me and my friend Ronaldo - to see the menu maybe,' he says.

But the host, whose faced has been blurred out to maintain his privacy, says that he is unable to seat Coby because he believes the restaurant is 'too expensive' for him to afford.

'I'm sorry. We're not going to be able to do it sir,' he says, while blocking Coby's access to the eatery. 'This place is a little too expensive for you.'

Clearly put off by the interaction, Coby decides to give the restaurant host a chance to redeem himself and asks again if there is a menu he can see.

'Nope,' the host replies bluntly. 'We can't serve you, we're not going to serve you today. I'm sorry about that.'

And even when Coby tries to tell him he has a lot of money, the host still refuses to serve him and says: 'Can you please get away? Go eat at McDonald's - some other options but not here.'

Coby then backs away from the restaurant and is heard uttering a 'wow' as he dials his driver Ronaldo.

But as he starts dialing, the host asks if he can make the call off the restaurant's property.

'Can you please get away,' the host asks again. 'Stand over there.'

But the host is in for quite the surprise because Ronaldo drives up to the restaurant in a Rolls Royce with a suitcase of cash in the trunk.

Ronaldo then hands the suitcase to Coby who shows it to the host.

Coby says: 'I told you I had money. What's crazy is the way you judged people just by there appearance. I might buy this spot just (so) I can fire you - you're lucky.'

Ronaldo and Coby then go to the 'steak spot down the street' leaving the host speechless and ashamed.

This isn't the first social experiment video, Coby has done. One of his most recent ones involved the vlogger planting trees in New York City pot holes.

He came up with the green-thumbed idea after he himself hit a pot hole and ruined the tire of his car.

He said: 'When I was driving around New York City, I hit a pot hole and my tire popped and I had to buy a new one.'

'So I was thinking to myself, how as New Yorkers can we avoid these pot holes? Had I seen a plant inside the pot hole, I would have drove around the plant and not hit the pot hole.'

He added: 'So I'm going around with different sized plants and putting them in different sized pot holes so New Yorkers avoid them.'
