Ambassador to Brazil killed after he caught his wife's with boyfriend

Greek ambassador Kyriakos Amiridis vanished without trace on Boxing Day, when he left the home of his wife's relatives in Rio de Janeiro and never returned

The Greek ambassador to Brazil whose body was found in a burnt-out car in Rio de Janeiro was murdered after finding his wife in bed with another man, police believe.

The charred remains of Kyriakos Amiridis, 59, were found on Wednesday underneath an overpass in the city, inside the car the diplomat had hired to spend Christmas and New Year with his wife's relatives.

His Brazilian wife Francoise Amiridis told police she was out shopping on Monday night when he phoned her at 8pm, saying he was going out, and never returned home.

But today police investigating the case claimed they believe his death was a "crime of passion" after he had discovered that his wife was having an affair with another man.

Investigators reportedly found blood stains in the apartment, which belongs to his wife, where the couple had been staying in the Nova Iguacu district of the city.

Police believe he was murdered in the apartment some time between Tuesday and Wednesday before his body was dumped in the hired car and set on fire yesterday morning.

The man Ms Amiridis was believed to have been having an affair with is reportedly a military police officer who works at a police base situated a local slum.

Investigators told Brazil's Extra newspaper that they believe Ms Amiridis may have paid a contract killer to murder her husband after he found out about their relationship.

Ms Amiridis, who is not yet under arrest, denies havin hands with the ambassador's death, claiming he never returned home on Monday, and didn't know why there was blood on the sofa.

Police are reportedly analysing the sofa, as well as CCTV images from the area.

Sonia Ogbona shares the story of how her and Ik started their relationship with just 10k

Nollywood actor, Ik Ogbonna's wife, Sonia has revealed in her recent blogpost how her husband went to borrow N10k the day she came to Nigeria so he can get her from the airport.

Read her story after the cut...

Broke Days: My Husband and I Started With N10k
This is a story I'm sure many of you guys don't know about and I really feel like it's time to share it with you today,as this year is coming to an end.
Just for a second, looked back at my life, this 2016 that is almost gone and my heart started beating faster because I realized how far we have come. Gratitude I feel makes me wanna cry because God is indeed great. He never fails.
I'm writing this with intention to awake that positive energy of hope and faith in you before we enter this brand new year and make you believe that miracles truly happen when there is Love,Gratitude and Peace in our hearts to invite it in.
Most of you think that my life in Nigeria was nothing but glamorous story, followed by mad parties, red carpet events and comfortable life since I "got me" a Naija celebrity boyfriend.  Lol..If you guys only knew..
The day I came to Nigeria to see Ik,he went to BORROW N10k (which was equal to $50 at that time) just so he can get me from the airport.
Yes guys.
That is the very naked truth.
We met in not so ideal circumstances.
To be very sincere with you,in any other case ,"normal" me would probably carry my load  and go after realizing that I can't have as comfortable life as I pictured (heeey, did I really came all the way to Nigeria to suffer with all those lavish millionaires and oil tycoons around ?Chineke God, I don dey crase?Lol).
Average African Man's confidence is normally backed up with money and wealth he posses. It's all about what they can do for you or what they can give you that makes them so proud and confident to approach even the most beautiful women on planet earth . Mathematics is simple: no money - no confidence at all.
But then i met Ik. A young man with who was not wealthy, without a big family name but, guys ,the way he was confident. Not arrogant.Confident. That sexy mind blowing confidence. Not only that. There was potential. There was a fire in that man's eyes. Pure determination. Heart of a lion. But so pure and so kind. So honest. Real. Intelligent. Wise.Capable.
There was a  man who eventually became my best friend, who knew my dirty secrets and the naked truth about me and still loved me when I did not even know if I love myself. A woman feels that once in a lifetime.
My common sense has left me so I was there to follow my heart.
Then it got to my head: We could actually have it all.
He loved me from day one. For sure I know. But he was still a man. That's why he felt bad that he can't give me the world he thinks I deserve.I felt his pain.
I looked at him one day. I knew he felt helpless at some point. Told him "Ik ,when I look at you I see a billionaire. You better start acting like one." Later on he told me that was somethings I said that completely changed his life.
He loved me for who I am,I believed in him when he had nothing. And that was unconditional. I guess that's when magic happens.
But let me be honest again: It was not an easy journey at the beginning.
Me,Sonia,"Fine girl",that was always getting things effortlessly everywhere I go.
Secondly in my whole life I was alway running away from commitment. At all this did not make me feel right. I was afraid that I won't get to live life that I alway wanted.I felt like  I had to sacrifice it for sake of some Love like that. For Christ sake,I run away from my home to have a better life then my parents did,not to find myself in the same old shit.
We had ups and downs.
But then things started changing.
How?
I'm far from a perfect woman, but I realized I had a one very special superpower: my words can change lives. I can speak words into existence!
I started speaking life into him. I was telling him about our future.I stopped complaining. Instead on what we did not want,I started refocusing our energy on what we wanted to happen. We stopped talking about bills, lack of money or things we was not capable of doing at that time. Instead,we were talking about cars we gonna drive, places we will travel to,businesses we will run. I didn't nag,or rub things in his face.It was all about creating a right mental picture.Gradually we broke all the limitations because we stopped feeding our worries and fears with complains and bad emotions. We created a new norm: there was no chance you could ever hear us using word "broke".I understood one thing : you must act according things you want to attract, not opposite. Act like you already own it.
I would look at this young man...Nothing he can't do. It was only a matter of encouragement and motivation.
That was the key that got all the doors open.
In one year only he started working almost every day of his life,he got big endorsements, flattering awards and nominations, participated in over 30 movies. Somehow things just start falling into place. We got a beautiful, healthy baby boy.
Second year we got another car. I actually got a car I was always dreaming of. This year we moved to a beautiful, new house. We have started several businesses, sorted out our family company and he produced 2 movies on his own.
All the hard work started paying of.From 0 to 100. Literally.

But do you know what? From this point of my life,I am actually endlessly grateful that we met in time we were both on zero. I think that was what built our foundation strong. He did not won my love with cars and luxury gifts. And he knew all my flaws. And we still had deep love and honest friendship between us.Plus now we can brag how we started from the bottom and now we here (lmao) .
But for real, there is nothing that can make a bond and friendship stronger then a process of building a life from scratch. You watch someone's life changing just in front of your eyes. That is magical. You know that even without everything, there was always something. We held our hands with N10k and we still do when things got way better .
At times I take things I have now for granted, forgetting how hard I used to pray for them back in the days, and now ,by sharing this with you I feel so damn guilty because a life I live now can't possibly be compared to one I had only 3 years ago.
So please fam, let's start this beautiful year with a right kind of attitude. Faith. Gratitude.
Believe in your choice and in yourself. Do not compare yourself to other people's lives, but wish them well.
And settle for your blessings, confess them everyday, with love and peace in your heart. Do not fear, you are not alone.
And please do let me know when your life starts changing.
I want to rejoice with you.

64 year old gives birth in China, making her China's oldest mother of newborn

A 64-year-old woman who lost her only child gave birth to a healthy baby boy by Cesarean section and herself remained stable in Changchun, Northeast China's Jilin province on Dec 28.

The woman had a C-section on her due date. The operation went smoothly. Though the woman was completely exhausted after delivery.

The doctor in charge, Teng Hong said the woman was the oldest she had accepted as a patient, and may be the oldest across the country so far.

"I was really moved at the moment, and my nerves, which were tense for months, were eventually stretched," Teng said.
The mother and baby are both healthy, and the woman can leave hospital in a few days," Teng, added, saying that the happy ending is a result of the mother's rigorous prenatal care and pleasant mood.

People labeled me a failure: masters degree holder who wrote jamb 7 times shares his story

Failure is not final, neither is success... it's what you do after any of these that shapes you. This man has an interesting story that would inspire you. Read his story after the cut......

My Story
After my secondary education, I decided to further my studies.
I wrote the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th JAMB exams and they were all cancelled. I decided to take the bull by the horn. I went to Enugu State University for a pre-degree program. On the completion of the program, I was offered a course in faculty of Science but the cultism in the institution as at then was unbearable for me, having being attacked twice. I decided to use the 5th JAMB that was released to study at University of Port Harcourt. Then ASUU had a protracted strike that lasted for over six months, I needed to write a 6th JAMB and I scored 274 but that score couldn’t offer me admissions as the two JAMBS were combined because the strike entered another year.
After the first 6yrs at home, WAEC too was cancelling my results and I wrote WAEC/NECO four times. I was frustrated, mocked, criticized and called a failure. Some of my classmates were already youth Corpers. Many out of pity told me to quit because school wasn’t for me. The criticisms, mockery and name calling from people that didn’t know what I was passing through compounded my issues and I started thinking of quitting/suicide.
One evening, my brother in-law/mentor told me “Ogechi nobody can frustrate or determine the outcome of your life except you, don’t quit trying, you’ll be whatever you want to be” I repeated that to myself over a hundred times that night and I assumed the position of a CEO in my life.
I enrolled for another pre-degree program in University of Port Harcourt, and wrote the 7th JAMB and it was also canceled but thank God I passed the BASIC program. So to gain admissions to do a bachelors program, I wrote JAMB 7times, WAEC/NECO 4times and Pre-degree 2 times.
However, when I finally entered University, I passed Rivers State government scholarship exams to study abroad but few weeks to departure, another government took over in 2007 and cancelled the scholarship. But I told myself I must study in Nigeria and abroad…..
People called me a failure but, I don’t know if I am still a failure, if school is for me now or not, or if am still bewitched as people said………………………
All I can remember now is that I have done BSc in Nigeria, Masters in Safety and Environmental Management in UK, have seven additional professional certifications, qualified as a Chartered Environmentalist in UK and have worked both in Nigeria & Scotland
I have learnt that setbacks are actually strongholds in disguise if we don’t quit trying.
I have learnt that persistence wears off every resistance.
I have also learnt as a Christian that if your faith says Yes, God won’t say No, only be DETERMINED.
I give God ALL the glory and shame to the devil.

Rob Khardashian is rushed to the hospital for emergency treatment

Blac Chyna, Kris Jenner and Corey Gamble rushed to the emergency early today to attend to a family member who was rushed to ER. The person is thought to be Rob Kardashian. Read the report below...
"Blac Chyna and Kris Jenner rushed to an emergency room Wednesday night after Rob Kardashian went into "medical distress" ... TMZ has learned. Chyna and Kris arrived separately -- Kris was with Corey Gamble -- and rushed into the ER at 9:45 PM near Hidden Hills, where the family lives.

Sources connected with the family confirm Rob had checked himself in earlier in the evening. Rob and Chyna have been living separately, which explains why she showed up later. As TMZ has reported, he's suffered from diabetes. So far we don't know what triggered the ER visit. There is a report out he suffered a mental breakdown but we're told that is not true. Our sources would only characterize it as a "health problem."
TMZ update
Family sources tell TMZ Rob checked himself into the hospital because his diabetes flared up. We're told he had been doing ok lately but the stress from his turbulent relationship with Blac Chyna drove him to eat excessively and he gained an alarming amount of weight recently ... causing him to lose control over his diabetes.
He's still in the hospital as doctors try to stabilize him.

Lol! That's just mean: '' no chill at all"

Meme of the matharoo sister surfaces, the person that did this has no chill .

Boko Haram Shekau says his homeless and cannot be killed

"The Nigerian Army has announced the death of this Shekau guy four times now, still the guy no wan die!"

On September 1, 2016, the Commander of Operation Lafiya Dole, Major General Lucky Irabor said  that the 'original' individual identified as Abubakar Shekau had been killed in previous operations.
“I can confirm to you that the original Shekau was killed,"  he said.
"The second Shekau was killed, and the man presenting himself as Shekau, I can also confirm to you that few days ago, he was wounded. We are yet to confirm whether he is dead or not,”  Irabo said in Adamawa.

A "third" Shekau or Shekau III? Apparenty. As military sources have argued that the name "Shekau" has been adopted by the sect for any individual who succeeds the last should he be killed in an operation.
When President Muhammadu Buhari announced that the Boko Haram terrorists had been "finally flushed out" of their enclave in Sambisa Forest on Saturday, December 24, 2016, Nigerians could not help but celebrate the gallantry of our soldiers.
Despite the joy and jubilation that swept the country, some questions immediately came to mind;
1. If the Sambisa has fallen, where are the remaining 196 Chibok girls and other Nigerians in captivity?
2. What becomes of the abandoned game reserve - Sambisa Forest?
3. How about the Boko Haram leader, Abubakar Shekau? Is he dead?
The military take over of Sambisa came with its consequences - some terrorists who escaped began to seek refuge in other cities and towns.
A suspected Boko Haram member was arrested in Abuja. He was reported to have said that other Boko Haram members are in different locations of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). Frightening!
Again, the Nigerian Army announced on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 that it had recovered Shekau’s Qur’an and flag in Camp Zero, the Boko Haram’s Headquarters in Sambisa forest.

On Thursday, December 29, 2016, Shekau appears in a 25 minutes video to debunk Nigerian government claims that the terrorists has been crushed and flushed out of its Sambisa forest stronghold.

Again, the Nigerian soldiers need our prayers and support now like never before.
As a country, there is need for more security consciousness - see something, say something - to the security personnel, most importantly.

Don't mess with Femi Otedola; that's a lesson Jyoti and Kiran matharoo have learnt for life

In the last few days, the world has been awash with news of two Canadian sisters that were arrested and charged to a court in Lagos for blackmail and extortion.

Jyoti and Kiran Matharoo allegedly tried to fleece no one other than the third richest man in Nigeria: oil tycoon Femi Otedola.
The Matharoo sisters, who became popular on social media for their Kardashian-esque lifestyle, seemingly had it all – great bodies, Canadian citizenship, a life of leisure on private jets and boats and resorts that many of us can only dream of. Their lives (and their unrepressed sex lives) seemed to mirror that of the famous television sisters they’re compared to.
However, unlike the Kardashians, their own sex tapes were designed to blackmail the men involved in their lives. For high-maintenance ladies such as Jyoti and Kiran, regular Nigerian men would not have been able to satisfy their appetite for the high life – only the rich and powerful could have their bodies sleeping in their beds. (Apologies to Wizkid.)
The sisters were reportedly arrested at the behest of the otherwise unassuming Otedola, as a result of their continuous attempts to bully him into paying them an undisclosed amount of money in exchange for incriminating evidence they purportedly had of him cheating on his wife.
Court filings indicate that the sisters had several video recordings of them having sex with various Nigerian politicians, celebrities and businessmen, and had an audacious model of releasing those things to the public if they were not financially rewarded for having them.
The two are also said to be behind the gossip site NaijaGistLive, where salacious stories of Nigeria’s high and mighty are shared for a very eager audience, and they have extorted 274 different individuals to the tune of several millions of dollars.
Their waterloo came through 54-year-old Otedola, who they had claimed they had proof of his extra-marital indiscretions. The oil magnate then employed the services of a private investigator and discovered the Matharoo’s sinister modus operandi, after which they were picked up in a luxurious suite at Eko Hotels.
The Matharoo sisters appearing in a Lagos court
Both women have been charged to court for blackmail and extortion. They have since been released on bail, but cannot depart from Nigeria as their next court appearance is on January 26, 2017.

Fayose comes for the DSS who recorded his phone conversation with Gov.Wike

Read after the cut...

Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose has accused the Department of State Service (DSS) of recording telephone conversations of Nigerians perceived as critical of the Pres. Buhari’s APC government, editing the conversations and leaking same to SR.
Governor Fayose, who said he was not bothered by the new sinister antic of the federal government, added that; "Rather than sitting down and be monitoring peoples phones, the federal government should provide food for Nigerians and save the lives of those that are being killed in Southern Kaduna and other places."
The governor, who reacted to his telephone conversation with Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike that was published by Sahara Reporters today, through his Special Assistant on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka, said; “If the President and his hatchet men in the DSS, EFCC and other federal government agencies do not know what to do other than to record phone conversations of their perceived political foes, they should just resign and save the country from this harrowing experience."
He said it was obviously that they were being threatened by the complimentary comments of notable Nigerians like Pastor Enoch Adeboye, Pastor W. F. Kumuyi, Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi and others about him because those comments negate the cabal's evil intentions.
The governor described the DSS recording telephone conversations of Nigerians and leaking them to Sahara Reporters to publish as the height of the political rascality, manipulation, oppression, suppression and irresponsibility by agents of the federal government that are trying so hard to cover up the crimes they perpetrated against the people of Rivers State.
"They should even go beyond taping of my lines and come to live with me in Ekiti government house so that they can do per seconds live recordings of whatever I say because in the year 2017, by the grace of God, I will still say more without apology," he said.
Governor Fayose said for the first time since democracy returned to the country in 1999, Nigerians were celebrating Christmas and new year with hunger and sufferings beyond measure. "Nigerians are asking for food on their tables, they want employments, they want security, not recording of people's phone conversations and handing it to a road side online platform to publish.
"Unemployment and job loss are increasing at a very alarming rate while the electoral process is daily being bastardised. "Rather than tackling hunger and the country’s economic woes, they have embarked on diversionary tactics with irrelevant stories of Governors Wike and Fayose’s phone conversations, governors who do not bear arms and have no control over any security apparatus," the governor said.
He said: “I knew it before now that telephone conversations of prominent Nigerians, especially National Assembly members and opposition figures are being monitored, but I have remained unperturbed in my resolve to play my roles in rescuing Nigeria from the jaws of tyranny, which the present APC federal government represents."
While maintaining that the APC led federal government do not respect the laws of the country, Governor Fayose said; “They know that what they are doing is illegal and clear contravention of Section 37 of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, which provides that; ‘The privacy of citizens, their homes,                                              correspondence, telephone conversations and telegraphic communications is hereby guaranteed and protected.’ “However, because they are criminally minded and are running a tyrannical government, using the DSS, EFCC and other agencies, one is not surprised at the current development.
He encouraged Nigerians not to keep silent in the face of this tyranny, saying; "it will get to everybody one day, some day.” He said; "Like I said before, their style has become so predictable. Whenever Nigerians cry of the pains and sufferings they are going through, they will come with flimsy stories like; “20 Chibok girls found,” “$1 billion found in Mr A, B or C bedroom,” “Boko Haram technically defeated,” “We have captured Sambisa forest,” "Governors Wike and Fayose’s phone conversations leaked," etc just to divert attention. "Regrettably, Governors Wike and Fayose that bear no arm remain their headache while their agents that bear arms like guns, armoured tanks and fighter jets etc, using them against Nigerians have not been called to question.
"Going by the barrage of pains being inflicted on Nigerians by his cluelessness, if I will give the President a candid advise, I will tell him to resign because he has failed Nigerians, whose votes he obtained by deception. Under his watch, Dollar is now N500 to $1, their is unprecedented hunger in the land, Nigerians are being killed in Southern Kaduna and other places, "It is better for the President to resign because he appears not to have capacity for positivity.
"If all the presidents that ruled before Buhari had behaved like he is behaving now, he himself will be in jail. "However, let me say it once again, I am one person who is not afraid of death or incarceration. I will keep telling Nigerians the truth, which obviously hurts Buhari and the cabal around him."
