Game of Thrones fans will be sad tonight following the passing of Peter Vaughan who plays the role of Maester Aemon in the TV series.
The British actor died aged 93 after a lasting career of over seven decades.
According to a statement from his agent, Sally Long-Innes, ‘This is to confirm that very sadly Peter Vaughan passed away at approximately 10.30 this morning. He died peacefully with his family around him.’
