The Supreme Court has ordered the Governor Ayo Fayose led federal government to pay N3.3 billion to local government chairmen and councillors who were sacked during the administration of Kayode Fayemi in Ekiti.
15 months to the end of their tenure, Fayemi who had just taken over power in 2010 relieved them of their duties and appointed caretaker committees to take over and do the jobs of the local government chairmen.
