Ariana Grande to be bestowed with an honorary Manchester citizenship

Ariana Grande is line to become the first recipient of a honorary citizenship from the city of Manchester soon after the success of the recent One Love Manchester concert.
That concert was held in order to help those affected in the Manchester terror attack which happened at her original concert in May.
And now, Ariana’s been put in consideration for her efforts in organising the One Love concert which ended up raising £3m for those affected by the attack.
The attack led to the death of 22 people with many more suffering various injuries.
‘Civic leaders had wanted to introduce a new honorary system for quite some while, to be added to the existing Freedom of the City honour, which is the highest honour available. It’s been awarded just four times since the turn of the millennium,’ said Manchester council leader, Sir Richard Leese.
Manchester City Council has also announced it would hold an event later this year to recognise the ‘great many selfless acts and demonstrations of community spirit in the aftermath of the atrocity.’
