Co-founder of WhatsApp, Brian Acton, tweeted something that Mark Zuckerberg may not find funny. Acton took to Twitter to join an ongoing campaign called #DeleteFacebook. The campaign began after a political consultant Cambridge Analytica allegedly acquired the data of over 50 million users without their consent.
Here’s what Acton tweeted:
It is time. #deletefacebook— Brian Acton (@brianacton) March 20, 2018
Zuckerberg had acquired WhatsApp from Acton and his colleagues for $19 billion in 2014. Following the WhatsApp purchase, Acton continued to work with Facebook until earlier this year when he left to start a new company, Signal Foundation.
Facebook has suffered a drop of $37 billion since the news spread.
