So sad! gunmen kill 5 UN workers along the Nigeria-Cameroun border

A report by Reuters indicates an armed group has attacked a United Nations technical team working along the border between Nigeria and Cameroon.

According to the report, five people died in the attack and several others suffered various degrees of injury.
The attack occurred on Tuesday, January 31 at around 1400 local time near the Cameroonian border town of Kontcha, a statement by the United Nations Office for West Africa said.
"The victims were one U.N. independent contractor, three Nigerian nationals and one Cameroonian national," the statement added.
The incident is coming two weeks after an accidental bombing by a Nigerian Air Force jet killed over 120 people including aid workers.
Aid workers in the region have suffered collateral damage as Boko Haram terrorists now aim at soft targets.
