Kim Kardasian renders apology for sideing with Jeffree Star over his racist remark

Kim Kardashian got herself caught in a web of controversy on social media after telling her followers to move on from comments made by MySpace personality turned make-up guru, Jeffree Star.

The reality star addressed Star’s comments, which critiqued her make-up line, while on the set in a Snapchat video.

In the video, Kim K says that although she understands that making racist comments ‘is a big deal’ and she will ‘not defend people that are racist and I am very against it’, she stated, ‘But if someone claims that they have changed, I would love to give them the benefit of the doubt and I pray to God that they do change for the sake of my children and my friends.’

Kim’s view did not sit well with a number of her followers who fired back saying it wasn’t her place to make such comments on racial slurs.

Meanwhile, others were stunned that she would even defend Star, given that he has previously been recorded making racist statements.

Kanye’s wife has since apologised in a new video, saying that she ‘didn’t know enough’ about the allegations against Star.

The mother of two also remarked that it was a mistake for her to come to his defence and said that the issue was not hers to comment on.
