The fourth edition of Olamide’s annual concert OLIC4 is underway at the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Surulere, Lagos.
For the first time since the rap artiste started the series, it’s taking place outside of Eko Hotel at the 24,000 capacity arena.
Here’s a view of the 24,000 capacity Teslim Balogun Stadium at 5pm. We are still positive and rooting for Olamide to fill it up. #OLIC4 pic.twitter.com/HtsJVDhWwi— NET (@theNETng) December 17, 2017
Some of the reasons may include the fear of insecurity expressed by a number of fans.
Others have declared that the roster of artistes includes a certain Yomi Sars, a member of the much criticised Special Anti-Robbery Squad- which they see as Olamide been insensitive to the conversation around the dreaded squad- that people have denounced in recent times. Comments after the cut............
I’m not anti Olamide or anti OLIC biko…I’m just saying that this is Nigeria and in Nigeria, your security is in your own hands. If somebody can get robbed inside Eko hotel, what is Teslim Balogun Stadium? Lol— Serious Bants (@Xcel_101) December 17, 2017
So Olamide is giving Yomi SARS a platform to perform at OLIC 4.It’s one thing to be ignorant & not understand consequences of your actions. It’s another thing to be aware of it but completely detached from the reality that’s going on around you.Zero emotional intelligence.— DaddyMo (@officialdaddymo) December 17, 2017
The fact that Olamide is planning to put Yomi SARS on that stage is enough reason for people to boycott the show.— Vladimir JB Femi-Ema (@femiTRIP) December 17, 2017
Olamide invited yomiSARS to perform at his concert. What do y’all expect from an illiterate Like olamide? He’s just fortunate that he made it in the industry,if not Na dead smello.— Infamous Minded (@PRODEEGY) December 17, 2017
Those present at OLIC the best thing to do now, is to start Booing Yomi SARS when he gets on stage to perform.. Give him embarrassment of life. You want to come and perform to the same youth you are chasing around and calling yahoo boys?Jeje people… #EndSARS— Osas Cruz (@OsasCruz) December 17, 2017
