GROUPS ARE ATTACKING AND CONDEMNING BUHARI OVER HIS LOPSIDED PROMOTIONS AND APPOINTMENTS

The Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) worldwide has condemned President Muhammadu Buhari over the alleged lopsided promotions in the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC).
According to the group, Buhari’s decision not to approve the promotion of any Bayelsa state manager in the NNPC, to general manager is totally condemnable and unacceptable.

IYC has condemned President Muhammadu Buhari over the alleged lopsided promotions in the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC).
In a statement signed by IYC spokesman Eric Omare and made available to NAIJ.com, the group said: “The Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) worldwide rejects in its entirety the lopsided promotions in the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) which was approved by President Buhari.
“President Buhari recently approved the promotion of 109 Managers to General Managers. Out of the 109 Managers that were promoted to General Managers, 20 were allocated to the south-south. In the south-south, Delta got 8, Cross Rivers 4, Edo (4), Akwa Ibom (2), Rivers (2), while Bayelsa state got none. It is significant to note that there are five (5) eminently qualified Bayelsa Managers in the NNPC who can be promoted to General Managers.” video after the cut.........

The IYC attack on Buhari comes just after it urged the president to call security agents to order following the indiscriminate arrests of Ijaw and other Niger Delta youths.
The group advised the federal government not to use the renewed militancy in the Niger Delta as a political tool to arrest and silence opposing voices in the Niger Delta region.
