The couple had been having issues for months and had decided to go their separate way after 10 years of being together.
According to several reports, Miss Hudson Jennifer has also requested and received a protective order against her ex-fiancé. Courts documents published by TMZ show that she claims she’s fearful for her life as a result of Otunga’s aggressive, threatening and harassing behaviour’.
Jennifer Hudson goes on to say ‘I am now living in fear of further action David might take’ and further goes on to describe how he asked their only son to record her while at the studio because he believed she was dating a producer there.
Perhaps the last straw for the singer was when her fiance left a gun on their kitchen table. He said it was a movie prop, but Hudson says, ‘David knows that I am and have been very sensitive to firearms after my mother and my brother were murdered by a firearm.’ She says, ‘I believe that he left it out to taunt, intimidate and frighten me, which he absolutely accomplished.’
Reportedly, they broke up several months ago but they both want primary custody of their son. However, they have not been able to reach an agreement and ‘the order of protection gives Hudson exclusive possession of their residence and orders David to stay away from her and their son.’ Jennifer also wants the legal right to make decisions regarding their son.
David has denied all allegations.
