Not only does the Duchess of Cambridge help out when it comes to dress code, when Meghan and Harry are married on May 19, her father-in-law Prince Charles will also get a say.
Funding from the Duchy of Cornwall estate, owned by Charles, will pay for every single piece in Meghan’s wardrobe as she will technically come under his ‘household budget’.
Many of Kate Middleton’s outfits are also funded by the prince, so it’s no surprise that Kate is offering hints about how Meghan should shop.

How much  is spent on Kate Middleton wardrobe?

It was reported in 2017 that £119,000 was spent on items for the Duchess’ wardrobe including a £13k Chanel outfit.
The previous year it was thought she spent around £100,000 after re-wearing outfits from her already extensive collection.
Since the royal wedding in 2011, it is believed that Kate has spent more than £500,000 of the Duchy of Cornwall, which forks out around £20million a year on household costs.
Meghan is expected to have a similar budget.
Kate has a range of designers she loves and she’s reportedly been recommending some of her favourite styles for Meghan to share.
A source told Vanity Fair: “Kate is often in the studio to go over look books and have fittings, and she suggested the boutique to Meghan for more formal wear.
“Kate’s not the sort of person to get offended if someone wears something she likes or one of her favourite designers.”
Meghan was spotted in a Philip Treacy hat and Wickstead dress at Westminster Abbey last week, both designers are favourites of Kate.

The Duchess of Cambridge has apparently suggested that Meghan stays close to home choosing designers, saying British is best.
And it seems the American born actress is already using this advice, as she was spotted wearing a cape dress by Stella McCarney for the Queen’s birthday concert.
The source continued: “They were also consulting each other on their clothes so that they complemented each other at engagements and didn’t clash”

According to the source, the Duchess and Meghan meet to ensure their outfits
don’t clash or show too many similarities
